This notice describes how the current Everyday Sorted beta handles information. It should be reviewed and updated before wider public launch, including confirmation of the operator's legal identity and third-party retention periods.
Information stored on your device
Meal plans, household sizes, shopping items and ticks, cupboard entries, favourites, budgets and tasks are stored in your browser or installed web app using local storage. This information is not automatically sent to an Everyday Sorted account. Different browsers or installations may have different copies. You can export a backup, restore it or reset local data in the app. Clearing website data can permanently erase it.
Feedback you choose to send
When you submit feedback, your selected category, message and any optional email address are sent to Formspree, which processes the submission and forwards it to Everyday Sorted for review and response. Do not include sensitive personal information. We use feedback to improve the service and reply when requested. You can contact us to ask about feedback you submitted or request its deletion, subject to applicable requirements.
Website analytics and hosting
Cloudflare Web Analytics is included to measure website use. Cloudflare and the website hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses and browser or request details to deliver, secure and measure the site. The precise information and retention practices depend on those providers' current services and settings. The app does not currently include advertising trackers or customer accounts. Review the providers' privacy notices for more information.
Legal basis and retention
Where UK data protection law applies, handling feedback is intended to rely on legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, balanced against visitors' rights; replying to enquiries may also be necessary to respond to a user's request. Hosting/security and analytics processing require a separate assessment of legal basis and applicable storage/access rules. Feedback is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to address it and improve the service; a precise retention schedule is still being established. Local data remains until you delete it or your browser removes it.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to submit feedback or provide an email address. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or object to processing of personal data, and to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Contact us to make a request. Because plans are stored locally, Everyday Sorted generally cannot retrieve them from your device.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses local storage for app functionality. Third-party analytics and hosting technologies need a final cookie/storage audit before public launch. This notice is not a substitute for any consent controls that may be legally required.
